Estrogen Deficiency Symptoms: Why Women Must Know It

Each person should know much about his physical body.  This happens because nobody can take better care of his or her own health but the individual himself or herself.  Of course, you can always find doctors who are always available when you need help. But these are only for cases that can no longer solved by an average individual.  This entire premise is even truer for women not since they’re physically weaker but because they have an internal system that men don’t have.  The reproductive system is not just different to women; it’s also fragile.

When females reach the age when they encounter menstruation, they should also start to learn much about themselves, particularly their reproductive system.  It is by doing so that they will understand the changes taking place in their bodies. In relation to this, they should also learn how to recognize estrogen deficiency symptoms.  Estrogen deficiency can lead into some changes that might make women feel that they are less feminine than they ought to be.  Aside from this, it is estrogen that also helps their bones become healthier.  Therefore, there is cause for worry if they notice that their estrogen levels are quite low.

Generally, there are defined conditions that can cause low estrogen. Hence, if women actually go through these conditions, they would most likely encounter estrogen deficiency symptoms. If a female individual, for example, has her ovaries removed through surgery, estrogen levels could naturally drop.   Exactly the same thing happens when the ovaries are greatly impaired because of certain illnesses and misuse or abuse of drugs.  Even those women who are in their menopausal periods may still experience such symptoms.   However, what can be the more apparent and common basis for estrogen deficiency is when problems happen in the ovaries.

Estrogen deficiency symptoms are not very hard to identify.  This is since these symptoms are easily sensed by women.  When a woman starts to have hot flushes or when she perspires intensely at night, it is possible that she has low estrogen levels. Such symptoms may not cause any discomfort however.  What can be worse is when she starts to experience pain while engaging in sexual intercourse or when she frequently has urinary infections.  All these are brought on by the fact that tissues at the vagina turn dry and harmful once estrogen level is deficient.  It would be possible for her to have vaginal bleeding too.

The trouble with some estrogen deficiency symptoms is that they are psychological. These abovementioned symptoms are more physical and they are easier to resolve.  The psychological symptoms may be tougher to bear.  Among these are depression and loss of concentration, two conditions that might certainly make it difficult for women to work efficiently.  A woman having low estrogens can also become very irritated easily.  This could naturally have an effect on her relationship with other people.  She would also no longer be very excited about sex.  With all of these symptoms, it is necessary that women seek medical help to cure estrogen deficiency.
