Giving The Gift of Baby Blankets

Giving baby blankets as gifts is a pretty typical gift to give when you are preparing for the birth of a baby boy or girl in your family or a friend’s family.  Baby blankets are not only useful, they can also be actually unique and pretty .  Whether the baby is going to be a boy or a girl, you know for sure that they are going to need a blanket. 

However, when the birth of a little baby boy is coming , a lot of people don’t know what kind of blanket is harmonious to give them.  seemingly , you want to go with white, green, or blue baby blankets.  You do have some options as to what you can put on the blanket though.  What I mean by that is you can embroider their name on it, you can sew on a patch with a ball on it, or you can just leave it plain.  I think some people are afraid of getting a blanket that may look not boyish enough for a baby boy.  My advice is that as long as you stick with keeping the blanket elementary and in the prefatorial colors for a boy, the blanket will be perfect .

What you really want to go for is making the blanket unique and have it stand out in some way.  The gift blanket you give could end up being that baby boy or girl’s security blanket that they carry around for years .  Another good way to make your blanket different is to try to represent the family of the child you are giving it to.  You can put the family’s surname intial on the blanket in the middle or in the corner.  You can also respresent that the blanket is from you by embroidering “Made By (your name)” onto it.  No matter what you prefer to do, it’s always a plus make your baby blanket stand out .
