The Truth About How To Avoid Pre-Eclampsia

4 Points To Look Out For Regarding Eclampsia

I think someone must have it out for pregnant girls. As if it isn’t hard enough on them already, there is a disorder known as Pre-Eclampsia. Below, we will take a look at what this disorder is characterized by, how it effects you, and how to tell if you have it.

Pre-Eclampsia is a pregnancy disorder that involves convulsions. It generally occurs after 20 weeks of pregnancy, and usually with the first child. As previously mentioned about pregnant girls not having enough to worry about, then not being able to tell whether or not you have pre-eclampsia, especially if no symptoms are present can still occur before, during and even after labour has begun.

One way to determine if you possess the eclampsia disorder, is if you start experiencing Eclamptic convulsions. These eclamptic convulsions have 4 unique stages:

Stage 1 – If you happen to be aware of this stage then you are more likely to catch it, most women tend to miss this stage. In this stage, a woman will roll her eyes and also experience simultaneous twitching of the hands and facial muscles.

Stage 2 – Following stage one, the woman’s teeth will now clench, her arms and legs will also go rigid, she may also bite her tongue, and her facial and hand muscles will stop twitching and now clench. This particular stage will find the woman experiencing a shortness of breath that may last for around thirty seconds.

Stage 3:- This stage can be where it really gets bad. This is where the muscles begin to jerk violently and frothy, slightly bloody saliva starts appearing around the mouth. 2 minutes of this until it stops, and then there is a coma, or occasionally heart failure.

Stage 4:- If the woman has survived this stage, she may find herself in a deep unconcious state. This may continue for a few hours or it may also pass very quickly.

Clearly this is not anything to be letting pass by. If any of these symptoms become evident, then a quick visit to your doctor is vital. By making sure that you get the proper treatment, you will not only be saving your life, but the life of your unborn child.
