Until recently, there has often been a limited selection of strollers to choose from and those that were available were often a challenge to fold away and push especially in crowded areas such as shopping malls. There were no lightweight baby strollers before, as most of the materials used were wood and metal.

Since they haven’t been constructed for this, the manufacturer may also decide to not include shock absorbers.  If this is a deal breaker for you, then you almost certainly need a different type of stroller, although bear in mind it helps to keep the cost down.

Ultimately, when looking for the best baby strollers, you should have in mind a few key features that you are after. Durable, lightweight, easy to fold, number of wheels, type of wheel and storage for example. However, if you are out and about a lot and you need something that is easy to push without being a burden to fold and carry then a lightweight baby stroller is a good choice.
