Creating Your Own Baby Shower Favors
For people who have the time to spare, making baby shower favors at home has become a popular option. The main reason for this is that they can not only save the money they would have paid to buy those favors but also occasionally make money doing favors for others. 1. Fold both washcloths in half (along the longer side if they aren’t perfect squares).

3. Secure the edges of the washcloths with tape.

5. Secure them by loosely winding tape around them, being careful to keep them flat.
6. Roll the washcloth into a tight spiral and tape the end to the spiral.
7. Place the wooden stick at the back of the spiral and secure with tape.
8. Now that you have the lollipop, place it in the center of the cellophane wrapper and wrap it.
9. Secure the loose ends of cellophane around the stick with a lace knot.
You can create many interesting patterns for your washcloth lollipop just by using washcloths with different designs and colors. Washcloth lollipops are ideal for showers where the guests will also be mothers with their babies. You can make several such lollipops and place them in a vase on a table. When gift-giving time comes these washcloth lollipops will surely be appreciated by your guests as baby shower favors.
Alternatively, you may want to create baby shower favors boxes and place candies, chocolates or cookies in them. There are free templates for creating favor boxes of all shapes and sizes on the internet. If you are resourceful, you may even make your own variations based on those free templates. Simply print out the template and the instructions for making the box and you can get started making your favor containers.
The best material to use is cartolina paper although thinner types of paper may also be used to contain fewer goodies. Of course you have to buy the sweets and cookies you intend to place there. It might be a good idea to wrap the individual goodies in a plastic or cellophane bag before placing them into the box. Depending on whether the box has a lid or not, you may have to wrap everything again with nice wrapping paper.
