So you can take advantage of this excitement and make them do some work to earn “recess” at home. How do you create recess at home? You introduce some great kids outdoor games. You can make up some games or do a quick internet search for kids outdoor games and you will find some interesting games people have come up with.

To develop their interest in studies, plan family activities and play kids outdoor games that are connected with their studies. Emphasize the real-world connection to academics whenever possible.
Set goals. Let your child know, through example, that hard work will be rewarded. If your child believes that achievement is a natural by-product of effort, they will be more likely to put in hard work. Such children are also less likely to drop out of programs and college at a later stage.
Reward success. When your child achieves something, it is necessary to praise their hard work. Positive reinforcements enhance confidence and increases self-esteem. Conversely, beware of criticism. It can ruin the frail ego of children and
play havoc with their minds.
